   Joel ..........Rookie of the Year 2006
  ST.MAARTEN--- Neutral News has named the young rider Joel ....... Rookie of the year . Joel who recently joined the V8 team, stunned cycling fans on St.Maarten with an excellent performance in the Caribbean Cycling Championship where he finished 20th, making him St.Maarten top rider in this prestigious race. Joel was also the winner of the Father's Day race. But it was his performance in the St.Martin Day race which will be the topic of conversation for years to come. Even though Joel finished this race in 3rd place, his courage and attacking riding style impressed everyone and ultimately cause Jacque Albena the victory. Albena who is one of Guadeloupe's top rider congratulate Joel and even predicted a great cycling future for Joel.
   
   Patricio "Blade" Carty repeats as 2006 Champion
  After his performance in 2005, Mr. Patricio Carty a.k.a "Blade" has managed to retain his title by putting down another wonderful performance in 2006. The man who started out as a mountain bike rider in the B-division last year has quickly become one of the islands top cyclists and crowd favorite. Patricio Carty is the rider with the most wins for 2006, thus making him St.Maarten top rider again for 2006.
   
   Bienvenido "Papi" Carti wins first ever "King of the Sprint"
  For many years, persons on the island have been wondering; Who is the best sprint? On November 5th 2006 that question was answered, when Neutral News in collaboration with La Vista Hotel organized the island's first ever "King of the Sprint" race and from this day forth we shall hail him as His Majesty Bienvenido "Papi" Carty, "King of the Sprint 2006" until next year that is......
   
  V8 back on track
  Good news for all those V8 fans, after a hideous of almost 2 years the V8 team reappear on the seen for the last race of 2006. V8 has added 2 new rider to their roster namely Joel and Tommy from VCG.
   
  VCG falling apart....
  Late breaking news just in to the Neutral News website, Benitez "Dedou" Edward and Didier Lake have reportedly decided to abandons VCG, to ride for a team from Gaudeloupe. This comes on the heel of  Victor "Tommy" Chance moving from VCG to longtime rival V8.
